Drugs Addiction
Drugs Addiction Treatment at Satu Nusa Recovery
We understand that drug addiction is a complex and challenging condition that requires specialized care and a comprehensive treatment approach. The abuse of drugs—whether prescription medications or illegal substances—can severely impact an individual’s physical, mental, and social well-being.
Our treatment programs are designed to help every individual regain control over their lives, offering both short-term and long-term solutions to overcome addiction based on their specific needs.
What is Drug Addiction?
Drug addiction is a chronic disease that alters brain function and behavior. It leads to an uncontrollable craving for substances, despite the negative impact they may have on a person’s health, relationships, and quality of life. Over time, drug use can rewire the brain, making it difficult for individuals to stop on their own. The need for drugs becomes more intense, as tolerance builds, and withdrawal symptoms can make it even harder to quit.
Drugs, whether they are opioids, stimulants, benzodiazepines, or cannabis, each carry their own risks and long-term effects. Satu Nusa Recovery is committed to helping individuals address not just the physical dependency but also the underlying psychological factors that contribute to addiction.
The Impact of Drug Abuse
As is widely known, drug abuse carries significant negative consequences for the individuals who misuse these substances, including:
- Physical Health
Damage to vital organs such as the liver, kidneys, heart, and lungs. Nervous system disorders causing tremors, seizures, or paralysis. Decreased immune system function, making the user vulnerable to infections and diseases. Malnutrition due to loss of appetite and metabolic disturbances. Overdose, which can ultimately lead to death.
 - Mental Health
Anxiety, depression, and paranoia often emerge in long-term users. Hallucinations and delusions, where the user perceives things that are not real. Personality disorders and loss of the ability to think logically. Psychological dependence, making it difficult to quit without professional help.
 - Social Impact
Strained family relationships due to loss of trust, conflicts, and disappointment. Social exclusion due to uncontrolled behavior. Increased criminal activity, such as theft or violence, to acquire money for drugs. Social stigma that makes it difficult for users to be reaccepted by society.
 - Economic Impact
– Personal financial loss because money is spent on purchasing drugs.
– Loss of employment due to decreased productivity and responsibility.
– Increased financial burden on the family due to the costs of treatment and rehabilitation. - Legal Impact
Loss of future prospects due to incarceration resulting from both personal use and the illicit trafficking of drugs.
